My teaching interests sit at the intersection of American religion, rural studies, theory and method, qualitative research, and research design.
Current teaching
At Oklahoma State University, I serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in AECL 4003/5003, Developing Rural Scholars for Civic and Community Engagement. The course prepares students for community-engaged rural research and professional placements, with attention to research literacy, reflection, communication, and the relationship between institutions and rural communities.
Mentoring
My mentoring work includes supporting student research from question development through source collection, coding, interpretation, conference preparation, and manuscript development.
